HTGA has but one purpose; to help transgenders
be true to themselves. HTGA meetings are relatively large (averaging
between 20 to 30 people a night), structured group discussion meetings.
HTGA has been said to be unique among most groups nationwide in its
diverse, healthy, supportive environment.
HTGA is located in Houston, Texas in the Montrose area. See the links
for more info, location, map, photo gallery, and contact information.
What to expect...
Meetings begin with informal
discussion which lasts for approximately 30 minutes. After the informal
discussion, a topic is presented and discussed for approximately 45
minutes at which point the floor is opened to discuss personal issues
for the remaining time. Age demographics range between teens to 70’s.
While the group is comprised of predominantly transsexual-identified
transgenders, each meeting presents a chance to see a cross-section of
the entire transgender community, both MTF and FTM. Additionally,
practically every ethnicity, sexuality and transition status is
represented in the group.
